Which Was Your Olympic Moment?

The men's hockey game is

The men's hockey game is first for sure! But, watching Jon Montgomery win, walk through the streets with a beer, etc., was a close second - he looks like a guy who would be a lot of fun to hang out with!
YAY CANADA!

why

So why did the women's hockey get raked over for drinking a few beer in an empty stadium after their gold, yet Jon Montgomery can walk down a crowded public street drinking a pitcher of beer - no questions asked? Don't get me wrong, I loved it (both instances)

Some of the women were

Some of the women were minors, Jon Montgomery is legally allowed to drink.

Hunter Mahan 2nd victory.

Hey,

Tell W-Ray Morrison that it was Hunter Mahan's 2nd PGA Tour victory. He won a couple of years ago in Hartford.

B

hummm which one to pick???

Altho I chose the mens hockey, I could easily choose all of the above. Man, what a golden ride!

It's Over!

Thank god it is over and normal programming can resume! However, it will be analysed to death by the media for the next month.

OOOOOHH, regular

OOOOOHH, regular programming, like it can possibly be better than the two weeks of Olympics we just watched, oh well some people just dont have a life, i could watch Olympics all year long, GO CANADA

No kidding, Garth!

I'm in withdrawal!!! That was the most amazing sports presentation I have ever seen. VANOC did a yeoman's job, creating and maintaining the sites. The networks did a fabulous job, not only with the TV coverage, but with their web content. NEWSTALK gave us another outlet to ensure no hockey was missed.

Our athletes were UN BE LIEV ABLE! They were warriors with class and dignity. I have never been more proud to be a Canadian!

THE END.

THE END.

a non medal

I think an example of what defines the olympics is an interview with Lindsay after she fell and went into the fence. She was disappointed with the fall but did not blame the course or weather but apologized to the next competitor who was stopped and had to rerun asking for forgiveness. It was not all about "me" but included others.

Awesome

Everything was great! If I was to nitpick about anything, it would be that the Men's hockey team was not at the closing ceremonies (I happened to switch on NBC during the closing ceremonies and they were showing Ryan Miller and Tim Thomas marching out with big smiles on their faces. Also Ovechkin was part of the Sochi presentation).

One of the best memories for me is the Canadian pairs skate to "Requiem for a dream" and the Bell commercial with the orchestra playing showing Canadian accomplishments. I had that music stuck in my head the whole games! Does anyone know the name of that composition?

Did you see it?

I agree. Those were all great Olympic moments. But there's one other that will stand out in my mind forever. It happened at Cypress Mountain, in the parallel giant snowboarding slalom, when Jasey Jay Anderson was standing on the podium. A veteran competitor, and with a gold medal around his neck, you could barely see him through the fog. He had a smile that was as broad as Canada is wide. And then it happened. Just as the flags reached the tops of their poles, a Canadian breeze majestically unfurled the our flag at the precise moment our anthem reached the ultimate crescendo. And then again, through that fog, we saw Jasey Jay Anderson's smile. That will be my most lasting memory of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.

women's

sheesh, i thought the womens hockey was the best. look how far they've come. they aren't a bunch of millionares playing pick-up, they are doing it for country and pride. when the cameras showed the men at the women's game they looked like they were at a funeral. if it was the other way around the girls would have been going ape in support of the men. i am unclear as to why it was like that. are they too important to show appreciation or were they just tired? don't get me wrong the whole thing was great and i mean everything from curling to skating. i just thought the women were an inspiration, and i'm a guy.

OLYMPICS

YES MENS GOLD AND LADIES GOLD TWO TOP MOMENTS----Can anyone out there tell me why the rings in curling were coloured green--instead of the regular red??

More than one...how about 14

There were many inspiring performances by our athletes at these Olympic Games. It is also impossible to pick just one. For me the best part of the games was being able to listen to our National Anthem played a whopping fourteen times and listening to the crowd sing it so enthusiastically each and every time. Fourteen times and each one brought tears to my eyes and chills down my spine. I have never been more proud to call myself Canadian.

Which was your Olympic Moment

The survey would have to be very long to include so many great moments.

The very fact the Canada set a record for the most gold medals is an Olympic moment.

But how about Charles Hamelin - gold, Francois-Louis Tremblay - bronze
in the Men's 500-metre short-track speedskating?

What about Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, winning gold, a first for a North American couple?

Kaillie Humphries, Heather Moyse, Helen Upperton and Shelley-Ann Brown gold and silver medals in the women's two-man bobsleigh competition.

How about the numerous athletes who finished out of the medal positions by hundredths of a second?

All equal to the Men's Hockey gold medal win.

Olympics

The joke is on us. Each of those wonderful medals will cost tax payers about 100 million dollars. What a great use of the money. What a stupid self serving society we live in. What a "Golden" moment.

Anything but hockey. I am so

Anything but hockey. I am so sick of the media/sports announcers telling me ALL of Canada was watching, CANADA is a hockey mad country. Not likely! 33 million people, all hockey fans? Ha!

Couldn't agree with you

Couldn't agree with you more!

I also find it sad that we find national unity through a coffee shop brand that I need not name.

I absolutely loved the

I absolutely loved the games!! I chose the mens hockey team. However, the fact that the womens hockey team also beat the US was a great accomplishment as well. The memory that sticks out to me the most though was Bilodeau's humility. It wasn't so much his winning the first gold medal on Canadian soil, although, I am very pleased that it was him that received the honour. It was his relationship with his brother and his appreciation for everyone that helped him to get to the gold that has touched my heart. I also really loved how each Canadian athlete rallied and cheered on the other Canadian athletes. They were all a great big team even though they each had their own individual events to attend to. Bravo Canada!
