the economy, everything follows along with that . once we have a strong economy all the rest will fall into place. with the strong economy, investment dollars start to come our way ,shore gold, iogen, alternative powers
If the Government would abolish S.A.H.O. and deal direct with the labour unions, this would help solve the finances of the Government as they are paying S.A.H.O. a huge amount of money for doing nothing other than spending a lot of money advertising their "final" offer. No offer is final until it is accepted and approved by both sides. S.A.H.O. - what a waste of tax money.
Labour issues at absolute bottom of this poll. Most people only care about health care and the economy. But I suppose they do care about labour indirectly since it's the healthcare workers that could affect overall healthcare if they don't get a contract soon.
Are you kidding me? Get rid of SAHO? They should focus on getting rid of the unions. They are a waste of taxpayer money. You union people think you're worth more than everyone else and get paid more than enough. I have the same schooling as some union members I know who work in government, yet I make considerably less than they do. I would love to be paid as much as most union members (nurses, etc). Are you telling me that you can't survive on $35 an hour? Get serious. The unions are a major driving force behind inflation increasing as the cost of goods increases to pay union members. And don't even get me started on raises. You think you're worth 10% per year when the average person may get 1-3%? Give me a break.
Keeping teacher's aids employed should be a concern. In a school system that almost refuses to fail students (to the point that they adapt individual programs to guarantee success), teacher's aids bridge the gap for the students that need extra help and support to keep up with the rest of the class. With classrooms already overcrowded, expecting teachers to teach two versions of the lesson plan (intended and adapted plans)in the same amount of time as one is alot to ask. It will affect the overall quality of our education system. (and no, I'm not a teacher,I'm just concerned about where this is going)
Go figure....media asking about what is on our mind and hurting us in the pocket right now!!!!
Why not just put the question out there about what we would like to see in our province to make a difference rather than political or religous intent??
Let's stay focused on what makes us tick....Go Riders Go!!!!
I did not vote for the Sask Party last election... having said that I sure don't blame them for the downfall that potash has taken. I give them full marks for paying down as much debt as they have..... but its time they take a more cautious approach ... and thats means holding the line on all spending. When we were in a boom period all you heard about from the unions is its time for raises... and now that that economy has gone sideways a bit they are still crying for raises.... reality would tell them that everyone has taken a bit of a hit with the economy... its time they grow up and do the same... by the way the Sask Party will get my vote next time.

tough call
the govt has shown incompetence in all 3 areas. The stadium is a boondoggle waiting to happen, so, not sure what their focus should be.
Address Labour
